Advance Notice from Clyde River Community Council
Clyde River 2012 Budget
At their recent regular meeting, the Clyde River Community Council agreed to present a 2012 budget, including a temporary tax rate increase designed to eliminate the remaining principal on the Communities 13 Inc. loan. This loan represents Clyde River’s share of the cost of building the APM Centre. Paying off the principal in 2012 will save the community about $4500.00 in interest as well as remove the regular annual loan payment of $4842.16 from future budgets. Council intends the 2012 rate increase to be for one year only. The 2012 budget and tax rate will be presented for discussion and a vote at the Annual General Meeting to be held at 7:30 this Wednesday, March 21 at the Riverview Community Centre. All Clyde River ratepayers and residents are welcome to attend.

I hope all Clyde River residents will come out and help show their support to Douglas and his council at the annual meeting on Wed. night. I believe the council is wise to get rid of our debt towards the building of the APM centre now and save us the extra dollars in interest in the future.
