This is your chance to enjoy your artistic hobby/profession in the company of others who enjoy art within this inspiring park among the trees and be serenaded with classical violin music by Rene Dahn. Maybe you just enjoy watching art being created; if so, we welcome you to come along.
Artistic activities could include painting, photography, crafting, drawing/sketch, writing, knitting, crocheting or needlepoint.
Clyde River artist Julia Purcell will offer a group art class. She will bring along a few extra supplies just in case you don’t have your own and you are brave enough to dip a brush into some colour and make your first artistic mark on the world. That’s how everyone starts, even the great ones.
Cornwall Public Library will have a children’s reading tent along with a collection of art books.
Last year, the event attracted artistic folks from across PEI, along with those visiting from other provinces and countries.
Murchison Place Park is located on the east corner (among the trees) of Trans-Canada Highway and Clyde River Road. Parking is available at Burnside Presbyterian Church, just across the road.
Take along your own chair, any supplies to do your art and a picnic lunch for yourself. Beverages will be provided.
