History Lectures wrap up for 2023

Clyde River History Society member Rowena Stinson welcoming our audience
The Clyde River History Society would like to thank all the presenters and attendees of our 2023 history lecture series. It felt great to be back again after a three-year hiatus.
The Quilts of COVID presentation with Marg Weeks gave us a renewed appreciation for the sewing and crafting talent that still thrives in PEI. Dr. Ed MacDonald offered us insight into the history of Tourism in PEI and how marketing our destination has evolved over the past 100 or so years. And finally, Marie Kenny showed us the difference that the Women’s Institute is making and continues to make to strengthen our PEI communities.

Clyde River Museum features over 200 artefacts and historic photos
Many of our visitors had the chance to tour our museum that features artefacts and historic photographs. Our collection represents over 200 years of history which includes treasures returning home from as far as Oklahoma and Florida.
We look forward to 2024, which will be our 10th year for the lectures. We will be working to make this next season a very special one.
We offer a special thanks to CBC Radio Mainstreet and The Guardian for their ongoing support in publicizing our series.
