Emergency Management Plan
The PEI Government suggests that households have in place a plan to deal with 72 hours of events that might be considered an emergency. This link describes what the plan might include:
https://www.princeedwardisland.ca/en/information/justice-and-public-safety/how-be-prepared-emergency
In addition, Clyde River has a community Emergency Management Plan and Bylaw, available below. Our plan includes making the Community Centre available as a gathering centre if the need for one arises. At present the Centre does not have a backup generator, but Council has an agreement with the Kingston Legion in New Haven that, in the event of a prolonged power outage, our residents may use their warming centre.
As Council was creating its emergency development plan, residents were invited to complete a questionnaire describing what assistance they might require or offer in an emergency situation. The questionnaire is included here; should you wish to complete it or update your information, please print and complete it and drop it in the mailbox at the Centre.
Recreation Rebate
A recreation reimbursement of $60/activity is available to youth (18 years of age and under) who are residents of the municipality. The annual maximum amount is $120/child for two activities. All types of recreation that enhance a healthy lifestyle qualify. The year runs from April 1st to March 31st.
Fill out the application form or download the printable form below to apply for reimbursement. Please send your printed application to the Clyde River Administrator, administrator@clyderiverpei.com.
